2016 USGA Men's State Team Championship

In 2016, the 12th USGA Men's State Team Championship was hosted on the West Course from September 28 to 30. The Country Club of Birmingham welcomed 52 three-player teams, including Michael McCoy of Iowa, returning to the course after his 2013 victory in the U.S. Mid-Amateur.

Michigan's Evan Bowser, Anthony Sorentino, and Tom Werkmeister were triumphant after three rounds of play, snagging the top spot with -4.
